Get Lean French Toast

Staying on track with your nutrition can taste GREAT!!!! This is one of my FAVORITE breakfasts and I'm sure it will be one of your favorites too!!!

1/2 Cup Egg Whites

2 Slices of Gluten Free or Ezekiel Bread

1 tsp. Pure Vanilla

1/8 tsp. Cinnamon

1/8 tsp. Nutmeg

1/4 Cup Berries

1/8 Cup Crushed Raw Almonds

1/4 Cup Syrup of Choice

Whisk together the eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then soak the bread in the egg mixture (even overnight to really soak it). Next, heat a skillet on medium heat ( I use a non stick with no spray) then add each slice of the soaked bread and pour any remaining egg over the bread. Once the first side is golden, flip the bread and cook the other side until it's golden (try to flip it just once). Add the berries, almonds, and syrup of choice. Voila!!!!
